OBJECTIVES

• To identify the Rail Infrastructure Projects in the State of Haryana
• Anchor role to the State of Government in the Planning and Implementation of Railway Infrastructure Projects
• Act as a nodal agency to plan and complement the development of railway infrastructure in the state
• Generate greater financial resources through participation of the State Government, other stakeholders, including the private sector.

Railways is the most important mode of energy efficient and clean Transportation and thus has huge economic importance. Currently, the share of Railways in total freight transportation in the State of Haryana is approx 32%. Strategically, ongoing Eastern & Western Dedicated Freight Corridors, having high capacity and high speed Railway transport infrastructure, are passing through the State of Haryana. There is massive opportunity to utilize these corridors to increase the share of Railway freight transportation by creating suitable Railways connectivity to serve core sector industries and logistic business in the State. All Stakeholders should join hands for this National cause. HRIDC can be instrumental in facilitating single window clearance from Govt. of Haryana as well as the Ministry of Railway to develop best in class railway infrastructure for inclusion of un-served areas in the State of Haryana.
